Flight Information

※ All visitors to the Republic of Korea must have a valid passport and visa. Jeju’s visa-free access policy applies only to passengers taking direct flights to Jeju. The visa-free policy is not applicable for passengers arriving at Jeju via Incheon and/or Gimpo Airport.

 

There is four ways to flow to Jeju Island:

  • Direct international flight.
  • Transfer through Asian major hub airports where direct flights to jeju Island are available.
  • Transfer from Inchoen International Airport (ICN) which is the gateway to the Republic of Korea.
  • Transfer through Incheon International Airport, bus transfer to Gimpo Airport (GMP-the second airport of Seoul) and then to Jeju Island. Please make sure to arrange your travel until Jeju Island.

The IATA code of Jeju International Airport is CJU.
More information on the above options:

1. & 2. Flying straight to Jeju Island.
9 international routes (Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka, Beijing, Shanghai, Shenyang, Taipei and Kaohsiung) fly to/from Jeju Island.

3. Transfer from Incheon International Airport
Incheon International is the largest airport in Korea where 84 major international airlines from 55 countries provide regular flight service between Incheon International Airport and other major cities worldwide.
In case you arrive at Incheon International airport, you should move to Gimpo Airport by ground transportation to take the demestic flight to get to Jeju Island. Please make sure to get to the domestic terminal because it separated from Gimpo international terminal.
All flights from the seven domestic airlines in Korea fly every 10 minutes and it takes apporximately 50 minutes to get to Jeju Island from Gimpo airport.

■ By limousine bus
1. Passengers can get information about Limousines and ticketing at the following ticket booths: Exit 4 and 9 (indoors) & Exit 4, 6, 7, 8, 11, 13, and 9C (outdoors).
2. Take an Limousine Bus at Bus stop 3B, 4A, 5B, 6A, 9B, 10B, 11B, 12B

■ By airport railroad
Incheon Airport Passenger Terminal Arrival floor (1st floor) → Move to transporta-tion center on the first basement level → Walk to Incheon Airport Station

(tip : Airport Railroad in indicated by "Yellow-colored letters" on the directional signs on the arrival floor of Incheon Airport. Simply follow the "yellow-colored letters" to reach the Incheon Airport Railraod station).

4. From Gimpo International Airport
There are 50 to 70 flights everyday from Gimpo Airport to Jeju with Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, Jeju Air, T'way and Easter Jet. The flight time is approximately 50 minutes. For flight schedules, please check the airline websites. Travel from Incheon to Gimpo Airport takes about 30 minutes. However you should plan 3 hours between your arrival time at Incheon. International Airport and your departure time at Gimpo International Airport to allow for check in. Therefore if you arrive at Incheon International Airport after 17:30, you may not be able to fly on the same day to Jeju and you should stay overnight in one of the hotels near to Gimpo airport.
